I am from the dust in the corner of a room
and opening a suprise in every cereal box.
I am a silent leaf delicatley falling from its branch
that hopes to never be brittle when stepped on.
In a place someone called Earth,
is the place I call home.
I am the gentle breeze that runs through your hair,
and the frigid cold that can give you a chill.
I am a little sister, a friend, a stranger...
one who trys to get back up on her feet when knocked to the ground.
A treasurable moment for me, by my family, is something that is locked into my heart forever.
A momento... a gift... a santuary... somewhere/someone that makes me feel safe, secure and at ease.
I love the line "In a place someone called Earth, is the place I call home." I think it has a great sound to it! Also, I think you picked a perfect title - it really sums up the piece as a whole. This is a really good poem!
ReplyDeleteI loved the line, " i am a silent leaf delicately falling from its branch that hopes to never be brittle when stepped on".. it made me think of how each of us is like a leaf, we all fall and when people keep stepping over us we want to remain strong and not break down/away into little pieces of what was. very cool thought :)!
